Informatica have offices worldwide and create application integration, data manipulation and cloud management services for business.
Low-fidelity prototypes were produced for the entire application. The low-fi prototypes allowed The Leap Labs to visualize complex data modules for the dashboard and create user journeys off of each data module.
The prototypes used the 12 column grid and liquid layout techniques to ensure the application's responsiveness in large screen, desktop, laptop and tablet.
The dashboard consists of a top toolbar with application-level navigation and user tools, an expandable and collapsable hero-stat bar displaying overall system data trends and an 8 module expandable data module system.
Each data module type gives a unique view on data proliferation, departmental and user trends and data location along proliferation routes.
Creating a unique and engaging experiences around big data visualization delights users and pushes the boundary between form and function.
As always, the user's needs come first, and irrelevant data visualized beautifully can be just as off-putting as relevant data with no visualization.
